Rubber is produced today both from the sap of rubber trees (natural rubber) and through an industrial process (synthetic rubber). To bind the material and achieve the desired properties, various substances are added to the rubber, such as carbon black, oils, additives, and more. To create a stable, mouldable, and durable material, the rubber is vulcanised through the addition of sulphur and heat, which creates a material with very strong chemical bonds. What sets it apart is its ability to retain these attributes even in its recycled form, offering versatility across various applications while matching or exceeding the performance of alternative materials.
