The infill in artificial turf reduces microplastics from less wear of the plastic blades while offering what many consider the best playing conditions with the least injuries on players. The total environmental impact (LCA and CO2-emissions) is lower than the alternatives and the price/playing hours/all weaters along with full recyclability make the Orbit infill the prefered choice for many playing fields. The use of risk management measures to reduce the risk of spreading of granulate outside the arena should always be stressed.
The Orbit rubber is also used in a molded form for playgrounds, often with a binder and coloured surface of polyuretane.
